This programme explores the use of cultural and iconic objects and symbols of Aotearoa. After a quick Icon Quiz, students will embark on a Kiwiana treasure hunt around our courtyard looking for pavlovas, jandals, meat pies etc. We will then explore the work of artist Jeff Thomson who has become famous for his large ‘iconic’ NZ sculptures created out of corrugated roofing iron. Your students will create their own mini NZ iconic artworks (two choices) out of corrugated cardboard
