Lindah Lepou™ will be joined in the talanoa by Pātaka Lead Curator Ioana Gordon-Smith and Moana Curator Jacki Leota-Mua

Supported by the Goethe-Institut New Zealand, this panel unpacks the uneasy intersections of historical exploitation and the modern digital landscape.

Following her recent research residency in Germany, Lepou’s exhibition mata‘AITU (voyeur) re-examines the history of 19th-century European “Human Zoos”, Pacific couture as archive, modern digital spaces, and online surveillance.
