Bottle Creek Gallery

Community gallery

Exhibitions run for 6–8 weeks.

Support our talented local artists by visiting the Bottle Creek Gallery.

Established in 1998, Bottle Creek is Pātaka’s community gallery. The name comes from the late 60s creative colony located on the shores of the Pāuatahanui Inlet, which included artists and writers Robin White, Sam Hunt and Michael King.

About the space

Bottle Creek Gallery is reserved for artists and community groups who reflect or engage with the communities of Porirua.

The gallery has no rental fee for local artists and groups.

The Bottle Creek Gallery features 32 metres of linear wall space, which can be extended by use of our movable walls and 130 square metres of floor space.

Works don’t have to be for sale, but if they are, Pātaka takes a 35% commission on all works sold.

To exhibit in the Bottle Creek Gallery artists/groups must first submit a proposal to our Exhibition Committee.

Exhibitions run for 6 – 8 weeks.
