Join us for a special musical performance by WAI. WAI performs entirely in Te Reo Māori with the poi at the forefront, creating the rhythmic skeleton, which is cloaked in electronica.
Internationally WAI is known and loved for its unique Māori electronica. As they travelled the world, their audience and opportunities broadened. This led them to create a minimalist but powerful acoustic performance set that they will share with us.
The WAI family are Mina Ripia, Maaka Phat and their 13 year old son Uta Te Whanga. We will see them in the stunning courtyard in Café Kaizen if the weather allowing this Saturday, 16th October. 12:00PM
