A hāngi to remember

50 years ago, Porirua welcomed thousands of marchers from the 1975 Land March. The marchers along with Dame Whine Cooper were welcomed with steaming delicious hangi and the legendary manaakitanga of Ngāti Toa and the Porirua Community before they delivered their message to Parliament.

To honour this significant time of unity and manaakitanga join us for ‘A hāngi to remember’.

$16 for a hāngi. Two options available:

Original: Chicken drumstick and pork belly, heaps of vegetables and stuffing

Vegetarian: pumpkin, kumara, potatoes, carrots, cabbage and stuffing
