We have an action-packed week planned! Presented in partnership with Maneban Te I Tungaru Society - Kiribati Porirua & Kapiti Community!

Ribanan, karikirakean ao kateimatoan ara katei ma ara taetae ni Kiribati! Nurture, enhance and sustain the Kiribati language and culture!

Sunday 9 July

12noon: Mass/Prayers, Pataka Performing Arts Studio.

Monday 10 July

8am: Flag raising ceremony, Porirua Peace Memorial, Lyttelton Avenue, followed by morning tea and presentations focused on Kiribati dance costumes and Te Wa, Kiribati model canoe, in Toi Store.

With artists Tiantaake Taoba and Teimarawa Kabiriera, the presentation will be done by the Chairperson of Maneaban te I Tungaru Society – Kiribati Porirua & Kapiti Community.

Toi Store display will be on until Sunday 16 July.

6pm: 44th Kiribati Independence celebrations!
Dinner and dancing! Performing Arts Studio. Please RSVP Maneban Te I Tungaru Society - Kiribati Porirua & Kapiti Community on 027 229 3122.

Tuesday 11 July

10:30am: Kiribati dance performance, in the Spine

11:30am to 1:30pm Kiribati weaving demonstrations, in the Spine
