9am – 10am: A digital presentation about the history and the journey of moko to date as an artform and a practice.
10am-5pm: Take part as observers where twenty recipients will receive their Moko Kanohi of both Mataora (male facial markings), Moko Kauae (female chin moko) and Ngutu Purua (fully blackened lips).
The Mokopapa a Motu Collective have been providing annual Hapu and Iwi Mokopapa throughout the Tairawhiti and Tuwharetoa rohe for over 15 years.
