Anna Hayes creates wearable apato (accessories) using traditional Māori weaving techniques. In this drop-in workshop you will learn about harakeke (NZ native Flax) harvesting protocols and have an opportunity to create your own small taonga to take away with you.
After the workshop you will be able to visit Apato, an exhibition of fashion apato (accessories) to see more of Anna’s work.
The drop-in session runs from 10am – 12pm Saturday 6th August at Pātaka Art + Museum.
