Workshop with Seema Singh and Laisani Malani

Wednesday 9 October | 11am to 12.30pm

Ni sa Bula Vinaka and Happy Fiji Independence Day - Let’s gather together, over a cuppa and create an ‘ocean’ inspired artwork using multiple art mediums like masi (bark cloth), paper, cotton, jute, stencils and acrylic paints.

Use stencils, blocks and acrylic paints to create an artwork to take home.

Seema Singh is of Fijian-Indian heritage and a full-time mixed media artist. Her ancestors were from India who were brought to Fiji to work on the sugarcane plantations as indentured labourers.

Seema combines traditional and modern materials to create captivating artworks. Her project titled Katha – exploring the Lives of the Girmit Women of Fiji was exhibited at the Bottle Creek Gallery late last year.
