From the cacao pod to the manufactured slab, we tell the enticing story of chocolate. Come and discover the history and development of chocolate from a food of the Mayan Gods 1500 years ago to being a universal favourite today. The exhibition also features the Whittaker's Room - tracing the history and development of our own Porirua chocolate company, Whittaker's. With fantastic objects from their past and present, including chocolate moulds, early designs for wrappers and a huge mixing machine, there's lots of sights and chocolatey smells to get all your senses going.
