The Asylum Seekers have landed. Artist James Harcourt has been busy creating his own Aro Valley folklore, using the characters of the Asylum Seekers to explore environmental issues, such as the prospect of climate change refugees. Each Nikau palm mask invites us to imagine ourselves wearing it, to put ourselves in the place of another person – or an entirely different creature altogether. www.jamesharcourt.co.nz
