Laurence Aberhart is widely regarded as one of New Zealand’s greatest and most technically proficient contemporary photographers. For close to forty years, he has produced an astounding body of work which is unrivalled in its intensity, richness and the layers of cultural and photographic history. Laurence Aberhart ANZAC brings together an extensive series of images of WWI Memorials the artist has been working on for over thirty years. Curated and toured by the Dunedin Public Art Gallery as part of New Zealand’s WW1 Centennial commemorations.
