An exhibition of contemporary New Zealand art which was created for the reopening of the China Art Museum in Shanghai last year is going on show in some centres in New Zealand.
Meridian Lines: Contemporary Art from Te Papa
features works by renowned New Zealand artists Bill Hammond, Ralph Hotere, Ani O’Neill, Michael Parekowhai, John Pule, Yuk King Tan and Gordon Walters. Te Papa Curator Sarah Farrar says
Meridian Lines
is an exhibition of some of the Te Papa’s key pieces of contemporary New Zealand art. “This exhibition received critical acclaim from the Chinese audiences. I’m delighted that we are able to tour it in New Zealand,” said Sarah Farrar.
