What we fund

Your project must take place in Porirua and have an arts focus.

It also needs to meet one or more of the three funding criteria:

  • Participation - create opportunities for local communities to engage with, and participate in local arts activities
  • Diversity – support the diverse artistic cultural traditions of local communities
  • Young people – Enable young people (under 18 years) to engage with, and participate in the arts

The Creative Communities Festival Fund is a one off funding boost from the Government, to support and established festivals that celebrate the life experiences, stories, culture and regional identities of New Zealanders, that continue to be impacted by the effects of COVID-19 2023. CCS Festival Funds can support eligible festivals that are delivered in your CCS Funding rounds between August 2023-and May 2024. Final opportunity to apply for the Creative Communities Festival Fund closes 10 April 2024 and the key criteria is that you must have presented at least one festival within the past five years.
