Angles of Perception

Professional Weavers Network of New Zealand

24 July – 6 September 2020, Bottle Creek Gallery

A presentation of new work by the Professional Weavers Network of New Zealand

By nature, weaving is both inherently organic and mathematical. In an exploration of their artform, eighteen New Zealand weavers present twenty-one works exploring angles, patterns and perspectives. Incorporating techniques of origami and tapestry, the works are constructed as both 2D and 3D, and range from wall hangings to rugs.

Angles of Perception is a presentation of work by the Professional Weavers Network of New Zealand. Exhibiting artists include: Mary Anderson, Patricia Armour, Elizabeth Arnold, Ann Boniface, Sue Broad, Dianne Dudfield, Alison Francis, Laurence Gatehouse, Janie Gummer, Tania Habrle, Agnes Hauptli, Margaret Hill, Brigit Howitt, Helen Oliver, Robyn Parker, Nynke Piebenga, Marilyn Rea Menzies and Jo Reeve.
