This exhibition will give visitors to Pātaka the
opportunity to view a wide range of the crafts and art works made by members of
the Wellington Guild of Woodworkers.
This exhibition will display the best of wood craftsmanship, using largely but not exclusively native timbers such as Matai. Rimu, Totara and Kauri, including ancient Kauri reclaimed from forests of millenniums past.
The exhibition will showcase a wide range of creative works which are uniquely New Zealand in nature and design, with all available for sale.
The Guild membership is made up of woodworkers from around the Wellington region and includes men and women of varying ages, backgrounds and skill levels who share an interest in wood and woodworking.
