This year Porirua Little Theatre has its 70th anniversary.
Join us on a wander down memory lane as we take a look at the visual history of Porirua Little Theatre over the past 70 years, from back in the 1950’s where it all started, right up to our current show.
Enjoy reading the anecdotes and stories, seeing the photos and costumes and find out more about the history of the theatre that has had a place in the hearts of so many local families over the years.
From the very beginning when, in an attempt to allay boredom in the Bay, a note was sent around with the milkman in Titahi Bay "A meeting will be held on October 12 at 7.30pm at Ginn's residence 28 Richard Street where the intention of Titahi Bay Little Theatre will be discussed. All welcome" right up to today where shows at PLT bring in hundreds of audience members.
This exhibition was compiled by Theresa Savory. Theresa has been a member of PLT for 46 years and is the Theatre’s Archivist.
