Te Awarua o Porirua-Our Harbour

An exhibition of photographs celebrating Te Awarua-o-Porirua - the Pāuatahanui Inlet, the Onepoto Arm, harbour entrance, and the streams that run into them.

The photographs represent the best works selected from the Show us your Harbour photo competition held in 2023. Photographers were invited to take photos using whatever camera available to them, including phone cameras.

Five themes encouraged photographers to capture what is special about our harbour and its waterways, to confront the challenges it faces, and to honour the work being done to nurture a resilient harbour. These themes are: Scenic, Nature, Recreation, Artistic, and Challenges.
